Vattenfall is one of Europe´s largest electricity generators and producer of heat and operates in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. Our strategy is to reduce emissions from power generation with a road map to achieving climate neutrality by 2050.BA Wind is responsible for the development, construction and operation of wind power onshore and offshore as well as other non-hydro renewable activities like solar and batteries. We manage the maintenance, operation and continuous improvement of wind generation assets, safely and with the highest levels of availability and profitability. We also perform the structuring and execution of project partnerships in accordance with overall wind strategy.BU Offshore in BA Wind is responsible for developing, constructing and operating offshore wind farms. BU Offshore currently consists of 11 operating windfarms with a total capacity of 1.7GW spread across Europe. We are currently working on the construction of another wind farm for 0.4GW and are planning to start construction of another 4 farms for a total of almost 1.7GW next 1-2 years. Furthermore we are developing plans for next offshore wind farms in the countries we are operating in and are investigating entering new countries.We are looking for a Permit / Consent Compliance Manager O and M, DK Offshore Wind to ensure that all works during the operations and maintenance phase (O&M) for our Danish offshore wind farms are compliant with existing permits and to apply for changes to permits if needed. The role will require effective communication with relevant authorities and stakeholders, eg the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) and the wider project team, and so it is expected that the applicant will be fluent in Danish and English and will have a background in environmental science / environmental engineering.The Consent Compliance Manager O and M will work as part of Business Area Wind’s ‘Consenting’ team which brings together offshore wind permitting and consultation expertise from across the markets in which we operate.Your responsibilities as a Permit / Consents Compliance Manager O and M, DK Offshore Wind:Working within the wider project team, you will manage the permit compliance process for all operational and maintenance activities, including any changes to existing consents, for our Danish offshore wind projects. You will work closely with our Environment and Sustainability team who will manage survey and environmental requirements within the permit.As the Consents Compliance Manager O and M, you should enable handover of the project commitments register from the construction phase to the O and M phase, and ensure this register continues to be updated.You will work with the project team to ensure that they understand the commitments within the permit in relation to any ongoing maintenance activities and during specific maintenance campaigns, such that the relevant work is done in a timely manner and in accordance with the permits.You will co-ordinate engagement between the project and the relevant authorities / stakeholders, eg DEA, including any required reporting, and provide support in the coordination of periodic inspections as required.More generally, you will provide input to the development of O&M strategies such as lifetime extension and decommissioning strategies.Other support to consenting colleagues working in Market Development and Establishment / Construction teams is also be required. For example you will provide analysis and advice on relevant policy developments to ensure that Vattenfall’s competitive position is optimized.Where permit changes are needed, you will negotiate these with the relevant authorities. This may include applications for permit prolongation, decommissioning or re-powering when the time comes.You will be required to understand risks in relation to the permits and put in place strategies to reduce these risks as well as identify opportunities.The Consents Compliance Manager will be required to promote a safety conscious environment.Your qualifications as a Consent Compliance Manager O and M, DK Offshore Wind:Candidates shall have:A relevant degree (eg environmental science or environmental engineering) with at last 5 years’ experienceA demonstrable working knowledge of the Danish permitting process relevant for offshore wind projects (candidates with an experience in onshore wind will also be considered)Experience with permit compliance management and an understanding of the commercial impact of complianceA track record of liaison with relevant authorities, eg DEA, and stakeholder managementExcellent verbal and written communication skills (Danish and English)Experience of working within multi-disciplinary teams / team working skillsGood understanding of health and safety regulations and requirementsAn awareness of renewable energy policy and its impact on project developmentLocationThe position is expected to be based in Kolding, although some flexibility including working part of the week from home, is possible.
