For our Project Management (PM) Transport team we are looking for a dedicated Transport Manager in Projects.
The PM Transport team belongs to the SGRE Sales & Projects organization and works as an internal supplier of end-to-end logistics solutions for our large-scale wind turbine projects world-wide. The team executes on all SGRE contracts of heavy haulage, port services, heavy-lift shipping as well as containers, groupage, courier etc. within Business Unit Offshore.
As a Transport Manager in Projects you play a vital role in the execution of our offshore wind farm projects. You work as an integrated member of each project’s core Project Management team – while referring back into the line organization of the PM Transport team.
You will have a broad interface to both external and internal stakeholders.
How to contribute to our vision
The Transport Manager holds full ownership of the end-to-end logistics package of the offshore wind farm project. Your core mission is to define, shape and execution on this package, from hand-over from sales team until commercial closing of the project.
Your main responsibilities and deliverables will include
Defining and implementing overall logistics strategy for execution of your project(s)
Identifying risks and opportunities within the executional plan
Creating project’s schedules for deliveries to site (trucking, shipping etc).
Scoping and preparing shipping and customs documentation packages for project(s)
Demand management of main components and related transport and lifting equipment
Full ownership of the project’s logistics budget, including continuous monitoring and forecasting
You will become a part of an experienced team of colleagues, where knowledge-sharing and sparring is key to continued development of the function. Furthermore, participation in external sessions (on-site meetings, client/supplier meetings etc) will be key aspects on living the role and being able to push for continuous improvement in relation to schedules, budgets, quality etc.
You should expect approx. 20 days of travelling per year, depending on assignments .
What you need to make a difference
The ideal candidate comes with proven experience from Project Management and/or project logistics environment.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are a fundamental for the role – including excellent English skills both orally and in writing.
As a person, you are self-driven with a responsible and result-oriented approach to your work. You bring an analytical and structured mindset, enabling you to address a number of diverse tasks on a daily basis – while “keeping the full overview” all along a project duration. You are an out-going and openminded person, eager to join a global business with a tremendous growth rate and word-wide footprint expansion.
