We are looking for a Sourcing Trainee for a fixed term summer trainee position in Espoo, Finland.
Role description and responsibilities
Sourcing Trainee supports proactively Category Managers and Sales Support Managers in successful execution of customer enquiries regarding outsourced products. This role involves sourcing activities such as requests for quotations from Suppliers, data – volume- forecast information gathering and working with ERP tools and our PLM tools.
Tasks involves enquiring prices and lead times with suppliers and follow-up of requests and informing stakeholders of cost levels and lead times.
You will be working with by Category Managers and assist them in creating, updating, and following up sourcing savings, contract creations and OTD reports. Active communication towards suppliers and other stakeholders is key to success in the position.
At least 3 years technical studies e.g., in Mechanical Engineering / Marine Technology
Organized and systematic way or working in global environment
Understanding of the basics of project work and importance of Total Cost, Project time schedule & Supply chain
Ability to communicate with suppliers and adjust our communication and reporting methods accordingly
Ability to work efficiently under time pressure
Fluent English, other languages are an advantage
Ability to learn about Evac products and processes
Project management and coordination skills
Knowledge of ERP & fluent in MS Office tools like Excel is seen as advantage
