Description
Duties and responsibilities
Support Drilling Supervisor (DSV) with well site engineering tasks, both drilling and completion, f.eks. follow up road maps with data engineer
prepare/check tallies
equipment checks
cementing calculations
3rd party documentation and procedures
Facilitate offshore Detailed Operating Procedures (DOP) process (complete draft DOPs as provided from onshore with comments from involved 3rd parties & rig contractor, facilitate DOP / Risk Assessment meeting – DSV & toolpusher to sign off DOP)
Compile as done DOP and record feedback (comments, lessons learned, improvement suggestions) from involved parties
Prepare bi-weekly lessons learnt/performance summary
Maintain time-/performance tracker
Participate in relevant meetings and where possible represent WDNO drilling & wells on behalf of DSV
Assist with arrival meeting and introduction for new personnel
Input to bi-weekly HSE and operational meetings
Follow up KPI’s on daily basis in ProNova
Support/follow up rig contractor on rental equipment (return, certificates…)
Support DSV with logistics (look ahead, equipment overview/backload optimization) – this should not be the main task!
Follow up towards vendors to ensure correct equipment and material is available onboard
Together with service companies carry out deck checks and ensure all equipment is fit for purpose
Input to daily cost controller
Requirements
Qualifications
General for the WSE Drilling position on Brage offshore experience as Drilling Engineer in Norway, whilst for the WSE (Drilling & Completion on West Mira/Deepsea Aberdeen exoerience from offshore subsea drilling and completion in Norway
Minimum BSc degree in petroleum engineering or other relevant education
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working with drilling and completion including writing activity programmes and operational instructions
Proven competence within drilling and wells
Valid Norwegian offshore health certificate and offshore survival training certificate
IWCF well control certificate
Good knowledge of subsurface disciplines
Good knowledge of regulations and relevant standards
Personal qualities
Ability to work independently and as a team player
Well-developed interpersonal skills
Very good communicating skills
Fluent in English. Knowledge of Norwegian is desirable.
