Vacancy – Structural Inspection Manager
Job description
Manage and lead Ocean Intelligence’s Structural Inspection department by leading the development and execution of inspection programs based on client integrity strategies and maintenance management routines. To support services for improved asset integrity insights, improved performance, and lifespan; increased operating results; improved planning and management; and improved health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance. The person in this role acts to lead all aspects of Inspection work, act as commercial representative for the department as well as assisting with tender, acquisition, processing, reporting as well as development and training. This role liaises with related departments of Operations, Technical and Reporting elements within Ocean Intelligence to ensure best practice and industry standards are being adhered, and to ensure the most effective methods and equipment are being utilised to ensure efficient operation.
Assist in the procurement of Ad-hoc Inspection personnel to ensure highest possible standards of delivery.
Develop, with other departments / teams, systems to allow for data acquisitions, management, interpretation and delivery formats, specifically aimed at remote solutions and next generation data acquisition.
Develop with other departments / teams mission planning for remote data acquisition / IMR campaigns
Develop data centric IMR campaigns in line with industry focus, and deliver such strategies to industry to drive innovation.
Assess next generation data acquisition technology to identify feasibility and worth
Provide development focus for automation of routines and anomaly identification (Machine Learning / AI)
Work with industry clients & bodies to develop robust, industry leading advancement of subsea inspection regimes
Develop data trending services combined with dynamic risk based campaigns
Participate and develop Digital Twin concepts relevant to the field of work
Business development, client & trade convention visits as required
Business development into other sectors UWILD FPSO / Hydro Energies / Rare Earth Mineral Exploration
Through the Structural Inspection Department, develop Ocean Intelligence’s capacity to undertake Structural Inspections, principally with regard to Offshore Wind Farm asset inspection and to develop the capacity to manage IMR data for 3rd parties in collaboration with other departments.

Inspection Manager has extensive experience offshore marine industry related to IMR
Experience of all facets of both Vertical and Horizontal inspection, including tender, acquisition, processing, reporting and delivery of client products utilising a wide variety of systems and processes.

Business development and management skills.
Business development – proactively pursue and develop client relationships and actively pursue and develop business opportunities with new and existing clients for attracting/creating commercial opportunities.
Inspection Service delivery development – Proactive involvement and engagement within company and externally for the survey and inspection industries with regard to innovation and technology development. Regular input to short, medium and long-term strategies with focus on: automation, software market, technical consultancy, soft service solution consultancy and emerging technologies and how best to adopt and implement changes.
Processing and Reporting – develop, support and influence full life cycle of data processing and data delivery to ensure Ocean Intelligence is the market leader for lean and ‘Fit for Purpose’ processing. Act as leader for service solution development with focus on process automation of internal and external services and data deliverables.
Talent development – Identify, attract and develop creative talents that contributes to the Inspection service practice area.
Project Involvement – Provide and lead technical input, support and, where practical, maintain direct involvement with chargeable project tasks in Ocean Intelligence’s product portfolio similar to other operative functions.
Budget – Ensure department costs are in line with agreed budget and income from projects.

Authorised to take decisions and represent the function in cross-functional forums.
Authorise expenditures related to the Inspection department

Project department for participation in Ocean Intelligence’s client projects.
R&D and IT council for approval of R&D projects.

Compliance
Complies with Ocean Infinity management system policies, all OIMS practices, programs, and procedures;
Successfully completes required training as identified by OIMS and the management team;
Participates in the OIMS by reporting events, attending meetings and workshops, reporting problems, and recommending improvements, and other related activities;
Informs an Ocean Infinity Supervisor, Team Lead, or Manager of any unidentified risks, hazards, or system deficiencies in the workplace;
Supports Ocean Infinity’s environmental and social goals.
