We are looking for a skilled C++ developer to join our Core Software Team and offer an interesting position at the forefront of technology.
We are a relatively small company with about 20 employees from multiple nationalities and backgrounds. Our office is located in Turku, Finland and we work in a hybrid model combining both on-site and remote work. If you have a desire to, you will also have the chance of visiting the international seas onboard our pilot vessels. Alternatively, you can also just enjoy the safety of our office if that’s more of your thing.

Work includes:Collaboration and communication with other teams and team members.
Writing functional code, tests and documentation for our core software services according to our software processes.
Working with core services which include for example video streaming, sensor services, diagnostics and configurators. There is also an option to work on our cloud & UI backend if you are interested.
Review code pull requests of other team members.
Participation in software components architectures design.
Ensuring that software meets all the set requirements, including functionality, quality, security and modularity.
Participation in developing the company processes and culture, especially regarding software development.
Skills needed:Bachelor's degree, Master's degree or PhD in Engineering or equivalent technical capability based on practical knowledge and experience.
At least 5 years of experience in software development.
Expertise in C++ and how to write clean code, optimize, debug and test.
Familiarity with Linux.
Familiarity with other languages such as Python and C#.
Familiarity in at least some of the following technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, ROS2, Gstreamer, WebRTC, Unity, Google Cloud.
Good knowledge of software designs and architectures.
Familiarity with Agile working methods.
Enthusiastic to solve complex challengies as part of the team and eager to learn marine environment.
Good verbal and written English communication skills.
