KONGSBERG’s Synthetic Aperture Sonars enable high-resolution images of the sea floor. The sonars play a key role on the HUGIN AUV vehicles and produce data used for seafloor inspection, environmental monitoring (coral reef), bathymetric surveys or military applications like mine hunting (search/avoidance) or rapid assessment of large areas.

Transducer acoustics: Physics, acoustics & analogue electronicsTransducer mechanics: Mechanical design, product design & material experienceSignal Processing: Filter design & sonar performance prediction and verificationElectronics: Analogue and digital design, power supplies & low-noise acoustic front-endEmbedded SW & FPGA: FPGA programming, C/C++ programming for real-time systems
The positions are in our central technology department, designing underwater acoustic systems. Your coworkers are leading experts in acoustics, electronics, embedded design and signal processing, and they are passionate about their work and ready to share their knowledge. You will have the opportunity to develop your role based on competence and interest. Adequate training and mentoring will be offered.
