As our new Trading Assistant, you will join our Trading Floor in Fredericia, where you will be working in close cooperation with our experienced Chinese Trader. Your primary role will be to support the day-to-day trading, covering sales, purchase of bunker fuel and logistical planning to optimize our profits in our Chinese market. Your main focus will be driving the sales effort by supporting with the administrative tasks and keeping information up to date in the system. Furthermore, you will be covering the entire trading operation in the absence of the Trader. This is a great opportunity to grow into an independent Trader role in the future.

Areas of focus

  • Support Trader in delivering bunkering solutions to customers
  • Keep all parties updated throughout the delivery of Marine fuel to vessels, including Traders, suppliers, agents and customers
  • Collect invoices and Bunker Delivery Receipts from suppliers
  • Focus on optimising and speeding up processes based on the above
  • Update IT systems with sales/customer information
  • Assist the Trader on ad hoc tasks

Your professional skills

  • Relevant education
  • Experience from the Shipping industry is an advantage
  • Natural flair for sales or sales experience is an advantage
  • Proficient in ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV, or at least eager to learn
  • Fluent in both written and verbal English and Mandarin

Your personal skills

  • Commercial mindset and committed to build personal relations
  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritise own tasks
  • A good communicator both internally and externally
