We are looking for a senior, high skilled, motivated and pleasant Discipline Lead for the Survey and Seabed Intervention Discipline.
Depending on the candidate’s preference we can facilitate work location in one of our nice offices in Stavanger, Oslo or Aberdeen.
The Discipline Lead positions are important and recognised roles in Havfram with significant opportunity to influence our business, organisation and work environment. The person we are looking for therefore comes with a solid technical background, commercial and contractual experience, as well as proven leadership skills.
Duties and responsibilities
Discipline Lead is single point of contact for survey and seabed intervention related matters for all regions
Input to relevant areas of Havfram’s strategy and business model, challenging established approach with focus on quality, new technology and cost efficiency
We are relying on competent subcontractors delivering technical support, equipment and offshore personnel to our projects. Follow-up subcontractors, build and maintain good relationship, communicate expectations, ensure quality deliverable are all part of the Discipline Lead responsibility
This discipline has many internal clients and being able to establish good communication channels and relations with Business Acquisition, Commercial Department and projects is crucial. Interaction with Asset Management Group and Offshore Managers is important when Havfram is chartering and mobilising construction vessel. Undertaking occasional vessel mobilisations might be part of the required support.
Ensure timely and fit for purpose technical solutions for tenders. Challenge client specifications and conventional methods when relevant and beneficial
Close collaboration with and technical assistance to Commercial Department regarding relevant Frame Agreements and Subcontractor management
Actively support the Project Technical Managers with developing and revising CTRs for work scopes assigned to your discipline. Identify work packages for outsourcing when required
Provide structure in the discipline by implementing good routines and processes
Assign work tasks and responsibilities to team members
Ensures survey and seabed intervention activities are performed in accordance with agreed codes, standards and specifications
Provide technical expertise and recommendations for safe, cost-efficient and optimised solutions
Ensure discipline competence and capacity are available when required
Provide management and leadership for your discipline team members. Mentor and guide, encourage and support personal development
Be responsible for the execution of the yearly performance appraisals and goal setting for the discipline and team members
Identify and facilitate internal training when required
Participate in recruitment of new personnel
Contribute to a positive work environment and collaborative climate internally and externally
Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
Significant experience within the subsea construction industry, North Sea and International field development projects
Leadership experience
Commercial and contractual experience
Relevant Engineering degree, Master or BachelorPersonal qualities
Analytical problem-solving skills
Results oriented with the ability to act decisively
Good organisational skills
Effectively manage time and workload skills
Good collaboration and communication skills
