Description about project/department
The Bacalhau field is a very large discovery, with recoverable resources of same magnitude as Johan Sverdrup. Over- pressurized carbonate reservoir at ~6000m depth, highly productive wells, light oil with high GOR of 330, produced via subsea facilities at 2000m water depth to FPSO. The field will be developed in two phases, the objective with phase 1 is to have timely first oil, whereas the second phase will maximize value for the full field. 10-15 wells in phase 1, 30-40 wells expected for the full field. DG4 for phase 1 in 2023, DG4 for phase 2 four years later.
Main Responsibility:
• Ensure that Surface treatment and Insulation activities for all disciplines related to Hull construction are planned, performed and documented in accordance with the project specifications.
• Position will report to Carcara Hull Construction and commissioning Manager.
• The position will be responsible for general follow-up of FPSO Contractor’s activities linked to Hull / LQ construction but must expect to contribute to other parts of the FPSO project as well. Responsibility will include
• Contribute to ensure site HSE standard and compliance. • Follow-up and ensure fabrication progress and quality in respective discipline.
• Monitoring of Contractors surface protection and insulation activities within all disciplines, ensure that all required qualifications are performed
• Supervise Surface protection and Insulation inspectors in site team. (if any)
• Monitor that Contractor construction and quality control departments follow the required procedures, specification and standards to ensure that all quality requirements are met and that project specifications are implemented throughout construction.
• Ensure that fabrication documentation is issued by Contractor in accordance with requirements.
• Actively work with Contractor to ensure that mechanical completion is achieved with a minimum of punch listed items.
• Participate in area/system punch in critical areas.
• Follow up and verify Contractors closing of punch items as required.
• Assist Contractor with discipline field engineering / construction details.
• Contribute to seamless transfer from Hull site to integration phase at Keppel in Singapore The “volume” of these activities will be based upon risk assessments.
Requirements
Competence requirements:
• The candidate should have Bachelor of Science degree or similar within structures, materials or welding Minimum 8 years of experience from project execution in construction / fabrication yard where minimum 5 years with relevant construction management experience preferably from FPSO new build. Relevant experience from offshore projects within piping insulation.
• Qualification to FROSIO or ICorr inspector level II or III for insulation.
• Preferably qualification to NS476, Inspector level III or certified as NACE coating inspector level III or similar It is crucial that the candidate has a proactive mindset and focus on supporting Contractor success.
