Local Unit & Position Description:
Due to an increasing demand for our services, particularly within offshore wind and offshore fish farms, we want to supplement our team of structural engineers with a new colleague. We are seeking a young candidate with a few years of experience, but you are also welcome to apply if you have recently graduated or will graduate soon.

Floating Offshore Structures is the main unit in DNV for structural design review with respect to global and local strength of mobile offshore units (MOUs), typically;
wind turbine installation units
floating wind mills
offshore fish farms
ship-shaped units (production, storage and offloading, well intervention and drilling)
semi-submersibles
jack-ups
The above activities are mainly related to newbuilding but also includes conversions and modifications of existing units.

Job description:
Design approval of global and local hull structures
Finite Element Modeling and analyses
Support to clients
Position Qualifications:

Qualifications:

MSc. degree within naval architecture or structural engineering
Experience within Finite Element Modeling and analyses
Experience within offshore hull structures is an advantage
Experience within hydrodynamic analysis is an advantage
Strong written and verbal Norwegian and English communication skills
