Definition
The Service Engineer for the Kongsberg Maritime (KM) Dynamic Positioning Software Group (DPSW) will work on DP releases in both the delivery and after sales phases. They will provide technical support remote from home, in the office, and onboard vessels to customers and colleagues. Responsibility/Tasks
Produce technical assistance in the field related to on call assignments and combined Hardware and Software related issuesAttend sea trials during commissioning to complete the deliveryAttend vessels to conduct service workTravel on short notice inside and outside of the Gulf of Mexico service regionResponsible for reporting errors or defects on equipment delivered, and suggest improvements using our KM Problems & Improvements databaseProvide technical assistance to sales, after sales and our customersAssist service coordination group with service setup and executionProduce and review Statistical Capability plotsResponsible for updating service desk, version control software and documentation after customer acceptance tests and service regulated by the procedures PRO-2029, PRO-1006 and HBO-0004Participate in 24-hour duty phone when needed, including availability for vessel off hire situationsReport problems and suggest improvements using KM tools as quality control responsibleOther tasks designated from department manager
