The Chief Financial Officer’s (CFO) organisation is a driving force behind the creation of greater value in the company. We are responsible for the financial and legal functions, providing professional support and advice, and for representing the group in financial markets. A key task for us is to ensure high levels of ethical and financial compliance with corporate and external requirements. By means of active stakeholder management, CFO will manage the market perception of Equinor in Norwegian and international financial markets.

GBS is the internal provider of global business support services to the Equinor group. GBS delivers services and expertise within finance and control, IT, HR, real estate and facility management, project resources and deliveries, safety and sustainability, management system and service management. Our services are delivered to all countries in the world where Equinor is present. Key strategic priorities for GBS are: user experience, future ways of working and digital transformation. “Enabling a better Equinor” is our ambition.Job Description• Preparation and oversight of timely filing of all relevant U.S. federal, state and local income tax returns

• Calculate current and deferred income tax provision

• Prepare and review journal entries for income tax postings

• Contribute to the development and improvement of tax processes

• Liaise and collaborations with operating businesses, accounting departments, CFO Tax, and other functional groups

• Ensure compliance with SOX and other internal control process relevant to the direct tax processes which include document retention according to legal requirements

• Assist with tax examinationsQualifications• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business, or related disciplines

• 5+ years of public accounting or industry experience with income tax compliance and provision for oil and gas companies

• State and Local tax experience

• Knowledge and experience in IFRS

• Sarbanes Oxley experience

• Strong computer skills, especially Excel and SAPPersonal Qualities• Ability to live by our safety and security expectations

• Work independently, self-starter, strong organization skills, and able to multi-task

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in multicultural environments

• Works well in a team environment

• Outstanding attention to detail
