The Windows Server Analyst is responsible the operation, maintenance and periodic refresh of all Windows servers.
The position is also responsible for planning of changes and support to major projects requiring Windows servers.
Accountability & End Result:
Window administrator for physical and vitualized windows servers. Ensure maximum availability of Window Services through proactive monitoring and maintenance. Provide 3rd level support for Windows vended applications and supported 3rd party server based applications. Project management; Technical consultancy; Troubleshooting / third level support; Customer liaison; problem / resolution management
Assigned roles, responsibilities, procedures and other:
Manage incidents in ServiceNow; second level support within agreed SLA
Administer local, regional, and global Windows servers and services
Ensure maximum availability of Windows Server Services through proactive monitoring and maintenance
Provide 3rd level support for Windows vended applications and supported 3rd party server based applications
Troubleshooting / third level support
Problem / resolution management
Required skills (education, experience & competencies):
Bachelor of Science in Engineer/Technology and/or Computer Science. Less formal education might be
compensated with relevant and documented experience
Customer facing skills
Problem management / resolution
Strong on Documentation
Systematic approach to problem solving; follows processes and procedures
Strong general knowledge of personal computers, network technology, and the Microsoft software suite
Server application/OS installation & upgrades; Offshore and remote support; server administration. Strong
knowledge of Microsoft Server Operating systems and VMWare knowledge.
3-5 years technical experience in Windows OS, software packaging, and PC and server hardware.
English Language competence, both written and spoken.
Preferred skills (education, experience & competencies):
MSc in Information Technology or Engineering
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to maintain positive relations with personnel inside and outside the IT team
In depth knowledge of IT processes and procedures, global and local
In depth knowledge PC technology and support
Strong general IT infrastructure knowledge and hands on ability
