In this role you will be in charge for the operational performance of the EMEA general ledger, accounting focusing on the Balance sheet functions as Payroll, Tax account, prepaid, accruals and offsetting accounts on the income statement. You will also be responsible for all statutory filings within the EMEA region. You will be reporting directly into the Finance Director of EMEA. You will become a part of an international, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. Perhaps most importantly: you will become a part of changing how the world experiences music. The role is based in Stockholm.What you’ll doWork in the RTR (Record to Report) as a operational team manager for a part of the EMEA team, responsible for the quality of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and reserves. Operational owner of the monthly/quarterly closing for EMEA. Make sure that EMEA follow set process by the process-owner as well as deliver monthly and quarterly EMEA flux analysis for key Balance Sheet and P&L accounts in a timely manner and with a high quality. Furthermore making sure that questions are answered, clearly communicate issues and come up with proposed solutions. Responsible that all financial statement within EMEA is filed within agreed time plan and with a high quality. Manage a local team of 4 persons, as well as a team of 12-15 persons at our outsourced offshore service provider ensuring that these activities are performed in an accurate, compliant manner and in accordance with IFRSResponsible to support the audit/review process with our external auditorsManage EMEA record to report internal control requirements Partner with other finance stakeholders in the organisation to identify issues and come up with solutions as well as streamline the close process and statutory filing Work with extended teams to support implementation of global initiative to keep consistent and standardized accounting processes Partner with our outsourced offshore service provider to drive process improvement and standardization efforts in the record to report areaLead or support other complex projects as lean or productivity initiatives. Making sure that set projects are delivered with high quality, within budget and in time. Who you areYou have a B.Sc. degree in Finance/Accounting and strong knowledge of IFRS, accounting operations, general ledger accounting, internal controls, and financial reporting8+ years of experience in accounting or from big 4You have a deep knowledge of accounting and you know BS & P&L inside and out Experienced in working in a European HQ for a US Multinational CompanyAble to deal with complex accounting issuesAble to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with effectively working with teams in other Spotify locationsA capable manager of critical projectsLast but not least you are a skilled influencer and communicator able to work with cross functional teams, analytically strong and have a can-do-attitudeSystems savvy: possess a solid understanding and application of finance and accounting systems (Netsuite, Blackline.). Fluent in English, oral and written.
