Senior Finance Partner in Diabetes Finished Products Hillerød

About the department

Diabetes Finished Products (DFP) in Novo Nordisk is seeking a Senior Finance Partner to DFP site Hillerød. DFP represents a global part of the Novo Nordisk organisation, employing approximately 6,200 employees in Denmark, China, Brazil, France, and USA. The factory is consisting of a brand new 2 bDKK Aseptic Production, as well as assembly and packaging lines, and has a growing organisation of more than 700 people. DFP Hillerød produce among other products, the new blockbuster Ozempic®. This is an opportunity to join our Finance, BI & EHS team, which consist of 12 dedicated employees.

The Finance, BI & EHS team is part of DFP HI, Business Support which is known for striving for excellence, openness towards innovation and focus on stakeholder relations. Collaboration is a key for our success meaning that we are successful when the site is successful.
The position

The finance team is responsible for driving the financial agenda at the site in close collaboration with the management team. Within this you will have 3 main responsibilities:

Drive budget process and follow-up: Facilitate budget process to ensure resources are allocated to business priorities and all areas are pushing for stretched optimisation ambitions. This requires curiosity about understanding the business to both understand need for additional funding and where there is a need for additional actions to succeed with the budget. This also requires good stakeholder management and ability to run a complex process with many sub-deliverables.
Ensure insights and transparency into cost base: To enable line of business to manage their spend efficiently it is essential to have strong insights into how the money is spend. The Finance team is responsible for providing this insight to line of business through use of BI tools and strong data analysis. This requires strong analytical skills and preferably knowledge about BI tools
Drive cost optimisation agenda: Support management by facilitating discussions and workshop on how to optimise cost base, bring analysis and external perspective on opportunities and help set the financial direction of the site. You will also be expected to drive various optimisation initiatives especially within the procurement area. To succeed in this, you need to be able to interact with senior management and bring a consultant mind-set on how to facilitate change.

Furthermore, the team is currently in progress with offshoring to our internal offshoring unit (GBS). You are expected to help make this a success by redesigning the processes so that GBS can become an integral part that takes care of all “back-office” tasks.
Qualifications

You hold a master’s degree with 2-5 years of relevant experience and have shown excellent results in your previous position. You thrive with analytical tasks and have a sharp eye for details, and you also excel at stakeholder management and communication. To succeed in your role, it is important that you have a naturally curiosity that enables you to engage with the organisation in order to understand their challenges and identify new solutions.

We are looking for a person who is passionate about finance. You are structured and comfortable with managing your own time and deliverables. At the same time, you need to be able to communicate clearly and come with new ideas and recommendations based on financial and business insights.
