The purpose of the new unit, called Field Life eXtension (FLX), is to develop new ways of working to realize the full potential of our late life fields, and to strengthen and extend the life of Statfjord towards 2040. Field Life eXtension (FLX) is a new unit in Equinor, which started up 1. April 2020. FLX will meet the strategic opportunities and challenges that our late life field offer to our competiveness on the Norwegian Continental shelf (NCS). FLX will transform our way of working to ensure that we create sustainable value from the NCS for several decades. FLX have the responsibility for Statfjord operations and decommissioning of Heimdal and Veslefrikk installations. The main tasks for a Static Mechanic in FLX will be: • Technical solution, technical clarifications and technical support to operation, maintenance, modifications, projects and other given tasks in the FLX organization • Secure a good cooperation between the offshore installations, the onshore organization and the suppliers. • Contribute to efficient processes and new ways of working and be flexible to move between tasks within Operation & maintenance, technical support and projects.Qualifications• Bachelor or master degree • Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications • A good technical understanding for the subject • Experience from modifications or maintenance • Knowledge of current requirements and standards • Norwegian and English written and oral presentation skills • 7-10 years of relevant experience preferredPersonal Qualities• Good at collaboration • Commercial mindset • Structured and systematic • Enthusiastic and open • Good communication skills • Able to work independent • Able to handle multiple tasks at a time • Ability to live by our safety and security expectationsWe OfferNot just a job: a career.
