Would you like to work with identifying business opportunities, maturing field developments and optimizing the value from our assets? We need reservoir engineers to join all parts of Equinor. We are looking for diversity with regards to background and experience, and need both generalists and specialists with competence within oil and gas, energy optimization and CCS.Equinor has a solid position on the NCS, and a strong position in selected core areas worldwide. We have fields of all sizes, from giants such as Johan Sverdrup, Troll, Statfjord and Peregrino to small fast-track projects tied to existing infrastructure. We have an attractive project portfolio and a broad opportunity set, yet not all the solutions. We need new perspectives and innovative minds to succeed with the ongoing transformation within oil and gas, CCS and renewables.

We are seeking open-minded and motivated reservoir engineers, with a strong drive to embrace the potential of new digital technologies.
Some of the key tasks to be solved are:
Maturation of field development projects
Reservoir management and drainage strategy
Energy efficient reservoir drainage and emission predictions
Well target identification, maturation, well planning and optimal well placement
Optimization and decision making under uncertainties
Data driven predictions
Carbon capture and storage projects
Implementation of next generation tools and work processes
Areas where we want to build capacity and competence are within implementation of next generation tools and work processes, cloud native and data driven tools, as well as energy calculations. Data analysis, visualization, and programming will be an essential part of the work.You

For this position, we are also looking for:
Experience and skills within reservoir technology and related proficiencies
Operational experience and experience from field development projects
Relevant software competence, and the ability to learn new tools
Data science and programming (python, javascript) capabilities is an advantage
Other subsurface discipline backgrounds will also be considered
Personal qualities we are looking for are:
Good communication and collaboration skills; employees that proactively share knowledge and experience
People that take initiative, are flexible and can work independently
Innovative and digital mindset, and an eagerness to learn and develop
