An important step of the way is to provide retrofit solutions to our clients, who are increasingly looking to convert their existing fleet’s propulsion engines and gen-sets to operate more efficiently and on more environmentally friendly fuels such as LNG, Ethane, LPG, Methanol, biofuels, or Ammonia.

What am I going to do?

As our new colleague as Sales Manager you will be a part of securing our future growth according to a clear strategy on de-carbonization and strong customer focus. You will be responsible for project sales of large retrofit projects enabling our customer’s fleets to deliver on new environmental regulations and societies demand for more environmentally friendly supply chains.

You will be project managing several major sales projects during the entire project development / negotiation process. You will be leading MAN PrimeServ’s dialog with our customers on the sales projects you are engaged in. It will be your responsibility to develop bids jointly with tender managers and product managers and secure that our customers understand our value proposition and scope of supply. Finally you will participate in negotiation meetings with customers around the world.

More specifically you can look forward to an exciting job consisting of:

  • Active participation in development of sales of high value retrofit projects
  • Developing answers to customers request for retrofit projects
  • Developing market analysis and sales budgets together with the rest of the sales team
  • Doing project pricing in cooperation tender managers and product managers
  • Doing project negotiation in cooperation with head of sales and other group functions like legal and financial
  • Doing customer visits and travels approx. 60 days/year
  • Qualifying leads together with the rest of the sales team

You will likewise be responsible for creating and maintaining customer relations and securing a close cooperation with our local sales team in our international group companies.

Who am I?

You combine your technical insight with a flair for sales and clients. You enjoy the close interaction with clients, and you understand the process and complexity of larger sales projects.

You have a keen interest in developing sales projects and you have an ambitious nature which does not settle for “good enough”. You are self-driven and you adapt to and communicate easily with people from different cultures and educational backgrounds.

On a more professional note, we imagine that our new colleague:

  • Has a commercial/technical educational background (e.g. Naval Architect, Marine Engineer, or other relevant education),
  • Speaks and writes English fluently,
  • Previously has worked with complex and solution sales of large projects

It will be an advantage if you have offshore, maritime or power plant experience, though this is not a prerequisite.

How is my new team?

You will be joining the Retrofit & Upgrade department in PrimeServ Denmark, currently counting 52 staff, having undergone significant growth during the last 5 years, which is set to continue with the growing focus on decarbonizing shipping.

On daily basis you will be a valuable part of a sales team consisting six colleagues which are backed by a number of product managers and other specialists.

You will be working from our Danish head office just by Copenhagen’s harbour front at Teglholmsgade 41.
