For our Offshore Product Portfolio Management department in Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy in Brande, Denmark, we are looking for an experienced and skilled product manager to support the
creation of a portfolio of future market leading wind turbines.
How to contribute to our vision:
Our offshore turbines are at the forefront of driving down the cost of electricity from renewables. As a product manager you will contribute to developing new turbines that further increases energy production from renewables and make for an even more sustainable and cost-effective energy production. You will work on ensuring that these new products reach our customers even faster and in an even better quality than before. This you will do by ensuring all stakeholders are working jointly towards a common goal and setting those goals and targets for them.
You will create the needed transparency allowing to de-risk new product introduction both internally and externally. You will work closely with our sales and execution teams ensuring that the right products are being marketed and, in the end, delivered to our customers. And of course, closely interact with all the functions in between these two ends of the lifecycle.
It is your jobs to continuously challenge your stakeholders whether we are on track to deliver the most value to our customers and are getting to the goal in the most efficient way. Basically you will guide your (and our) product from cradle to grave always keeping it on the path to success
You will work closely with:
All parts of the Offshore Product Portfolio Management team
All internal functions working in bringing the turbine from design to installation
You will have to be prepared to travel occasionally.
What you need to make a difference
Besides a passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for:
A team player and a natural networker with the ability to work with many and different stakeholders within a complex business – building strong relationships which allow the handling of complex and controversial topics.
You easily keep an overview of multiple topics and their interconnections and interdependencies.
You can focus on the key topics and trust your stakeholders to deal with the rest and are always aware if the list of key topics need to change.
You have a structured approach to your assignments and can handle project scope changes which are normal in a product development environment.
You thrive in a multi-cultural environment and are familiar with working in large organizations
To be successful in this role you furthermore:
have a master’s degree in either economics / business administration or a technical field
have passion for and experience in product management; this can come from a related university degree or several years of experience within this field of work
have technical understanding of power generation and ideally wind turbines; this understanding can equally come from a university degree or several years of experience within a related field of work
have experience with managing complex products with multiple stakeholders and suppliers
