You will join our Offshore Wind [insert the name of the department] department
The primary work location will be in our offshore wind department in Copenhagen or in any of our main design hubs in Denmark, UK or Germany. Our departments are specialized in offshore foundation design for wind turbines. We operate globally and perform design work across the world, with offices in Europe, USA and Asia Pacific. We work across offices and regions and in addition there are opportunities during your employment for both short-term and long-term postings. Further, some travelling should be expected when working in an international environment.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
As a Primary steel Engineer your main responsibility will be designing foundations for offshore wind turbines. You will be expected to model the primary steel structures, either Monopiles or Jacket foundations, in our in-house software ROSAP, with the guidance of our experienced lead primary steel engineers. In your role you will:
Take part in, or be responsible for delivering the design of the primary steel structures for the offshore wind turbine foundation. As part of this task you will be designing complex foundation structures to withstand seismic, ice, wind and hydrodynamic action, as well as vessel impact.
Prepare high-quality steel design drawings and documentation and ensure designs are prepared to fulfil the latest standards for steel design as well as client requirements.
Support the primary steel lead engineer with design modelling in ROSAP and present results to client, contractors and certifying agencies.
Working closely together with an in-house team of geotechnical, metocean, FE and load specialists.
Use your programming capabilities to contribute to develop state-of the art design tools, and continuously improve and optimise our designs.

M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Engineering. Structural, Mechanical, or similar.
Graduate or a few years of experience with structural engineering.
Knowledge and interest in design of offshore steel structures.
Understanding and experience with application of FE methods for structural analysis.
Ability and interest in scripting and programming, preferably in Python.
Knowledge on how to operate ROSAP is not a precondition.
You have a solid understanding for structural mechanics, statics and dynamics and want to apply your competences in practical applications.
Your willingness to learn and grow in our team of structural engineers.
Excellent English skills (oral and written).
