Our supervisors work on activities in [quality, installation, commissioning] both on-/offshore, supporting some of the largest wind farm projects in the world. They are exposed daily to large wind turbine components. This entails working on large-scale components which require a mindset of safety and great leadership skills. You will be hired in our People Resource Management (PRM) department out of Aarhus, Denmark. PRM is at the heart of Vestas’ project execution and covers several different work scopes. This opportunity is within [quality, installation, commissioning] both on and offshore, with your actual work location on our many different projects around Europe and potentially the rest of the world.Responsibilities
As a Pre-Commissioning Supervisor, you will be part of the on-/ offshore completion team, with whom you will work closely in getting the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) from installation, through commissioning, and into operation. You must take all necessary actions to comply with Vestas' safety and quality standards. Our installation team at the WTG location will hand over the tasks to you and your team. You will work with several members of the construction, installation, and quality teams as well as sub-contractors and client construction teams, participating in all commissioning tasks, ensuring all tasks are carried out effectively in a safe and timely manner.
Furthermore, your tasks will include:
Perform commissioning tasks within pre-assembly
On-site supervision of new and less experienced supervisors and technicians
Implement WTG testing
Troubleshoot, operate, and maintain WTG’s
Identify, register, and coordinate deviationsQualifications
Technical education in electrical or mechanical or hydraulics
Education with wind turbine experience
Experience working with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic diagrams
WTG experience
Good communication skills in English, both written and verbalCompetencies
Can demonstrate leadership and delegation skills
Possess a health and safety mindset
Hands-on approach and focused on continuous improvement
