Tasks & responsibilities: You will…
…be responsible for planning, designing and maintaining the network services of MHI Vestas, as well as developing the network architecture of our organisation. This includes developing and implementing networks in both LAN, WAN and datacentre environments, connecting to our offices, production sites, wind parks, service sites and vessels.
As a Network Architect within MHI Vestas, a large part of your position will focus on improving the network infrastructure to ensure the network is ready for global expansion. This includes participation in architectural designs and implementations with colleagues in the infrastructure department, as well as describing the future roadmap to peers and management. Consequently, you will be collaborating on projects with a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation and with external partners. In addition, you will participate in the daily operation and maintenance of the network.
Importantly, it should be noted that you will be taking part in a network operation on-call rotation with your colleagues.
You will also participate in:
Maintaining and designing our future hybrid network setup
Integrating our network with different cloud providers
Introducing and planning for SDA and SDWAN
Maintaining our traditional Cisco network, used for offices and factories
Running our new Cisco ACI dual datacentre network
Improving our cyber security setup
Upgrading network hardware and software components as required
Creating technical documentation
Making presentations used in our decision making processes
Skills & experience: Our new colleague…
…has experience from a similar position and has previously been working with network architecture. You must have solid knowledge about Cisco products, and is able to use this knowledge to design and implement the right solutions. In addition, you must also be experienced within configuration and implementation of wireless technologies.
Of personal competencies, we are looking for a proactive and self-driven candidate with a strong personal impact towards stakeholders, as well as a structured and analytical mindset. Consequently, you must be an extrovert with excellent communication skills, and must be able to act in a cross cultural, global and very dynamic environment.
We expect that you:
Have a solid foundation in VPN implementations (DMVPN, FlexVPN, AnyConnect and SDWAN) and Cisco ISE and ACI
Have experience with troubleshooting Cisco networks
Are experienced in Industrial networks
Are reliable, service minded and result oriented
Have a wide knowledge about general IT infrastructure (network, server, storage etc.)
