How to contribute to our vision

For our Offshore Service Logistics department, we are looking for a skilled and dedicated Handling Specialist. You has a very broad interface that includes both internal SGRE departments and external entities such as customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and Marine Warranty Surveyors. As Handling Specialist, you play a key role in ensuring a good cooperation with externals.

The Handling Specialist job function requires a structured and disciplined approach with a high focus on detail, while always having an overview of the overall status of the relevant assets, risks and timelines. The function requires good people skills and persistence in getting the required information from all involved parties in due time to ensure an optimal project execution.

This position is time-limited until 31.05.2022 with potential for fulltime employment afterwards.

What you need to make a difference

The ideal candidate holds an academic degree in Mechanical Engineering, Maritime Engineering or similar in combination with thorough practical experience with the following:

On a practical level, the Handling Specialist takes the lead or plays an active supporting role in developing new and smart transport and lifting solutions.

The Handling Specialist also defines procedures for the documentation items that are required for the different layout scenarios and supports the MAS organization in collecting and storing the required information.

On a strategic level, the Handling Specialist is responsible for:

  • Creating lift and installation drawings, ghost positions, storage area drawings, deck layout, load and unload scenarios for jack ups and other operations (AutoCAD)
  • Creating vessel suitably drawings which clarify if the vessel/asset has the right operational capabilities and specifications for a given wind turbine location and operation.
  • Interface analysis between maritime assets and WTG platforms (gangway analysis, fender analysis etc.)
  • Sea fastening mobilization and demobilization related to implementing the defined deck layout.
  • Supporting suppliers in getting the right documentation and instruction package and thereby in the lead for interface documentation management.
  • Act as advisor and key expect related to the defined scope
