The role and your most important tasks
We are looking for a leader for one of our teams (size 6-10 employees) within the C2 organization in Herlev. The C2 organization is mainly responsible for our C2 Naval system, C-Flex, that provides situational awareness et. al. for surveillance, maritime safety, and combat purposes at sea. The C2 organization counts around 80 highly engaged colleagues and is an area of great focus and importance in Terma. Within the C2 organization in Herlev we work in stable, interdisciplinary, and self-managed teams based on agile principles.
Your tasks will consist of a mix of operational and People Management tasks. With an operational focus, you will act as a Product Owner for the team and be responsible the prioritization of the tasks on the team’s backlog. This involves being responsible for the scrum events like, e.g., refinement, sprint planning, and sprint review. A large part of the product ownership will also involve stakeholder management towards Project Managers, Product Managers, Line Managers, and other Product Owners. On the People Management side, you will be responsible for the ongoing wellbeing and development of your team, to ensure a thriving and well-performing team. All of this will be done in close cooperation with the Director as well as the rest of the C2 management team.
The C2 organization started on a journey around 3 years ago introducing new ways of working in terms of agile development in scrum teams, modern software development practices like Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD), trunk-based development, DEVOPS, and a new development tool stack. The journey is not done and you will have the possibility to influence this journey dependent your experience, drive, and ambitions, through your involvement in strategy definition and implementation.
Your experience and education
You have an educational background as a Computer Scientist, Engineer or similar (MSc level is preferred)
You have high potential regarding the people leadership track and bring at least couple of years of experience within people management - preferably combined with experience from an agile setup and scrum in a Software organization
You have experience with product development from a system or software perspective and you have preferable experience from a Product Owner role
You master English at negotiation level in both writing and speech
Candidates holding experience with most of the following will be preferred:
