The Operational Control Center is part of Vattenfall’s Business Unit Wind, Operation and Maintenance. The Operational Control Center monitors Vattenfall’s more than 1.100 turbines and is leading within support for all Vattenfall’s sites within turbine surveillance, high voltage and marine coordination. As the central point of contact for our sites 24/7/365 we contribute with a safe and value creating service guaranteeing the highest possible availability for our sites.

We are now looking for a Manager Surveillance Centre, who will support both onshore and offshore sites. You will be part of the management team of Operational Control Centre.

Your tasks and responsibilities as Manager Surveillance Centre
You have a clear feeling of “sense of urgency” as we work in a fast-paced environment and like to drive and handle change. You have the courage to think differently, seeing opportunities rather than problems. You will be responsible for securing that the unit meets short- to midterm goals and customer expectations. You will also be responsible for the performance and output.
Further, you will:
Ensure delivery within quality, scope and budget
Continuously keep an updated view of the incoming tasks for your department and set the right priorities and follow up on progress
Continuously develop and coordinate the unit
Apply lessons learned and focus on the continuous improvements and optimizations of the department processes and tools
Continuously develop and improve Surveillance Center processes
Plan and lead complex tasks in close cooperation with our sites and other departments
Key deliverables/activities
As Manager Surveillance Centre you will have the following key deliverables/activities:
Plan and secure resources needed and ensure that the team is working towards set targets and follow our processes.
Lead, motivate and support your team and colleges within Integrated Operations
Actively manage stakeholders and their expectations.
Pro-actively interact with our sites to share know how and best practice and optimize their performance for all Vattenfalls onshore and offshore sites.
Ensure onboarding of new project together with Day1Readiness
Develop modern tools for Surveillance Center in a close cooperation with our SCADA and digitalisation team.
Your profile
You have a relevant University degree or equal, with a minimum of five years relevant work experience in a similar position. Extensive experienced in technical, operation and maintenance is a must and experience from leading change in large international organizations is considered as an advantage. Your command in English is strong, both verbally and written.

As a person you are structured, independent and result oriented. You have superior interpersonal skills and are a natural leader. We are looking for a person that has the ability to simplify complexity yet is flexible enough to find the best ways forward. You are a team player who actively engages people by asking, sharing, helping or asking for help. You are also pro-active, transparent, performance and results oriented. Sound communication skills and ability to travel is a must.

The position is addressing a very broad field of areas, dependencies and interfaces, which will require a big sense of flexibility and openness in finding solutions. This requires You as responsible for Surveillance Center team to drive develop and optimize collaboration with our colleagues in Engineering to support our sites in the best possible way.
Good computer skills and previous experience with SAP and Electrical knowledge are beneficial in this role.
