ICEYE is building and operating its own commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers. Our satellites acquire images of Earth at any time – even when it’s cloudy or dark – providing commercial and government partners with unmatched persistent monitoring capabilities. Information derived from our SAR images helps customers make data-driven decisions to address time-critical challenges in various sectors, such as maritime, disaster management, insurance, and finance.

We launched the world’s first small SAR satellite in January 2018. To date, ICEYE has successfully launched a total of 10 SAR satellite missions and has raised $152M in financing. We don’t plan to stop - join our team and let’s achieve great things together!

To support the growth of the company, we are looking for an InSAR Analytics Engineer to join our Analytics Team in the Helsinki area, Finland.

The Analytics team is responsible for building solutions that enable near-real-time assessment of the impact of global natural catastrophes. This empowers insurance, first responder, and government clients to provide timely support to people whose livelihoods are destroyed following natural disasters such as hurricanes, wildfires, earthquakes.

The InSAR Analytics Engineer will aid in developing, deploying, and maintaining InSAR applications leveraging ICEYE’s unique data.
The role:

Our InSAR analytics team builds solutions that leverage our constellation’s daily repeat-track capability, providing insights for customers in a number of markets. A combination of rapid revisit and high-resolution SAR imagery is leading to unprecedented ability to detect and measure small changes in the earth’s surface and the built environment.

With the massive volumes of data that are collected, the InSAR analytics team are developing tools that can provide new insights and that will scale to meet the increasing demands for this type of data.

As an InSAR Analytics Engineer, your role is to build tools and workflows that automate and accelerate the creation of InSAR products. You are proficient in the application of multiple modes of InSAR, including DInSAR, DEM generation, Persistent Scatterer Interferometry, and SAR Tomography.
What you need to succeed:
Expert knowledge of Spaceborne SAR imaging and concepts A very good understanding of conventional InSAR technique(s) Practical experience producing InSAR products using a variety of software Knowledge and experience with advanced InSAR techniques such as PSI and TomoSAR Familiarity with Coherent Change Detection (CCD) Software development experience, preferably with Python
Additional skills that would be beneficial:
Experience with cloud deployment (AWS is a plus) Experience with different phase unwrapping algorithms Familiar with data visualization for 2D and 3D datasets Software testing experience Experienced working in multi-site development organizations
