Are you ready to jump onboard?We are now looking for two In-Situ Specialists to join our great team of travelling engineers at Specialized Services (QuantiServ). Specialized Services offers on-site machining on major engine components and on other equipment and machinery. Our main market is the marine sector but we tend to operate as well as on land based installations and on more general industries. The preferred location for this position is in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is also here we have our knowledge-center for this business, meaning that the position is placed in the heart of our technical development.What will you be doingIn this position, your work will include global travels, hands-on machining with mobile tools and an insight in how on-site repairs can change the course for our customers when in need. A typical assignment includes travels on swift notice and the stay varies between a couples of days to about 2 weeks. The normal attendance is done in pairs, but on certain services we travel alone.For us to be the best match, we expect you to have firm technical experience, preferably within machine-shop activities such as: Support lathe operations, milling and drilling operations and grinding knowledge of all sorts. A true respect for fine tolerances and measurements.As an ideal candidate, you have gained experience from working with the above stated tasks, but also reached a personal experience and self-awareness, allowing you to be able to take on the factors included with global travels.
