Global Application Manager

We’re looking for a passionate Regional Business Manager to take responsibility for our high-speed separators for fuel and lubricant cleaning within the BU Marine Separation and Heat Transfer Equipment. So, what are you going to do today?
Alfa Laval builds on a century-long commitment to the Maritime industry. We help ship owners and operators secure confident compliance with marine legislation, both through dedicated technologies and by supporting the move to new fuels. Keeping reliability and ease of use in focus, we increase productivity, protect the engine, boost energy efficiency and minimize waste, contributing to higher earnings and lower lifecycle cost.
About the job
The marine market is an international business and you will work both internally and externally all over the world.
Your role will be to:
Secure application leadership for high-speed separation of marine fuels and lubricants
Monitor trends and developments in the marine industry covering fuel types, legislation, technology and competitor intelligence
Drive product and system development, prototype/concepts development and influence future product vision
Share application knowledge via internal and external trainings
Represent Alfa Laval as our expert in global forums, such as seminars, exhibitions and councils
You will work in close cooperation with the Regional Business Managers as well as with the R&D team.
The position is based in Tumba, Sweden and moderate travelling (30-50 days/year) is required.
Who are you?
We are looking for a highly motivated person with a passion for developing and improving technical processes and solutions for our customers. You have a solid engineering or technical background. Experience from the oil industry is preferred.
You can build strong networks, working cross borders, with people on all levels and cultures. You are target-oriented and have a creative and open-minded approach to problem solving. You are a good team player and you have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing. You enjoy giving presentations to large audiences. Fluency in English is required.
