Evac Group is looking for a Field Service Technician, focusing on wastewater treatment technology. Preferred locations of the job are Palma de Mallorca / Spain, Rellingen / Germany or Espoo / Finland. Key responsibilities The Field Service Technician performs field service operations and inspections including maintenance of equipment and conducting inventories and inspections. You will troubleshoot and repair equipment, assist and solve technical and operating problems of the customer as well as report and propose product improvements. Your role includes equipment commissioning and technical writing (e.g. manuals, service bulletins and instruction sheets). Training and technical support for customers and sales representatives as well as service sales support are a vital part of your job. As Field Service Technician you will travel heavily domestically and internationally, and perform tasks aboard docked and sailing vessels. The work performed will regularly include onboard sailing vessels and sailings, and you should often work nonstandard schedules at field locations for several days. We expect you to have prior knowledge of wastewater treatment technology. Knowledge of waste treatment processes in marine applications is preferred. You should have good electrical and mechanical skills and you must be able to read blue prints and schematic drawings. You have a degree in engineering, engineering technology with equivalent level of experience, or equivalent experience within the Marine Industry. Prior experience in PLC’s and PLC programming is preferred, but not required. You have good verbal and written communication skills in English. You must possess Class B driving license and you have the ability to maneuver up and down ladders several times per day. A customer focus and result oriented attitude is vital is this job.
