Role description
In the role of Instrument service engineer, you belong to the service team that is responsible for commissioning and technical support on our customers' instruments. The position includes everything from acting as sales support to installation and configuration of pressure, temperature, flow, wireless, radar. You will use digital tools to perform preventive maintenance and assist during audit shutdowns in production.
Tasks
You provide customers with service desk support services and develop and maintain customer relationships to ensure excellent customer satisfaction and loyalty. This role consists of logging, follow up and informing the customer about his calls and activities, while meeting contract commitments within set targets.
The work consists of installing and upgrading instruments. You will travel offshore and on land-based facilities where Emerson has its installed base.

The daily job includes technical support to help our customers and construction support, as well as installation.
You will travel to customers in Norway, but as part of the Nordic co-operation you will also travel outside Norway.
Education and experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a field service engineering role with focus on instruments within process industry.
Degree in Control & Process Automation or Engineering (Technical School or University).
Engineering degree, state-certified technician, completed vocational training or equivalent knowledge
Carryout pre-dispatch inspection. Check complete order details for quantity, type, size and trim etc. on all products. Report all non-conformances.
Experience in process measurement principles and products in measuring temperature, pressure, quantity, level etc.
Proficient Norwegian and English;
Driver's license B.
Safety course for the Norwegian continental area.

You are clear and distinct in your communication, both verbally and in writing.
Customer-focused attitude and desire to learn and progress in the field of customer service;
