Description

Do you want to design energy systems for marine robots that navigate the oceans autonomously? Do you understand the laws of physics and know how to translate these into practical solutions? Are you the designer of the next-generation energy source for our autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs)?

KONGSBERG is the world’s leading manufacturer of deep-water AUVs. Our HUGIN® robots can dive to depths of 6000 meters and navigate through the ocean on their own. Powered by pressure-tolerant Lithium batteries the vehicle missions can span several days.

At KONGSBERG we are always looking to improve our solutions. Extending the range of our AUVs is a key enabler to extend the use of unmanned technology and make more challenging mission types applicable to AUVs. Fuel cell energy systems may be such a key technology for increasing the endurance of AUVs beyond the capability of batteries.

We are investigating the next-generation energy source for our AUV systems and are looking for a talented and highly motivated Energy Specialist to join our team.
