We are looking for an engaged and collaborative Team manager for our Electrical Design Team in Copenhagen that designs the future zero emission fleet for Maersk in all Electrical and Automation aspects and who are an important part of Maersk’s decarbonization and digitalization agenda.
Electrification and autonomy technologies are advancing and at Maersk we want to be in the forefront of benefitting from the new technology, whether it is hybrid energy systems, Fuel cells or advanced navigational systems.

The Electrical Design Team is already playing a crucial role in this technology transition and we need a strong development oriented leader to take the take this to the next level.
Fleet Technology is a specialized maritime engineering competence center. The department is responsible for the complete project lifecycle for newbuilding, ship retrofitting and conversions, ship recycling, technical innovation and a variety of other specialist technical services to the Maersk fleet of more than 300 container vessels.

Key responsibilities
You will through the team be accountable for ensuring the technological advancement of our fleet as we accelerate our decarbonization and digitalization ambitions.

This will happen through front end innovation with industry and academia, new build and retrofit projects and continues modification and improvements of our fleet.
Further you will also ensuring that the Safety and Reliability (incl. cyber security) is engrained in all solutions and that the equipment lifecycle is thought into solutions.
You are expected to drive the increased use of data both in the technical solutions as well as in the decision making and technical evaluation.
It is also a key objective to continue the high engagement and talent development in the team as well as secure a close collaboration with the operational teams.
Finally, you are expected to continuously engage with stakeholders to ensure that we solve the relevant issues for the organization.

At the same time we expect that you actively use your network in the industry to drive technology forward and continuously have a relation with our key suppliers.

We are looking for
An experienced maritime Electrical & Automation leader with passion for, and experience with, design and development of novel vessel concepts and who beside having a deep technical understanding has strong business acumen in the maritime field and engaging leadership skills.
You have a minimum of 10 years work experience in designing Maritime Electrical/automation systems combined with an academic education within E/A engineering, along with substantial management expertise.
It will further be an advantage if you have specific experience with new building and vessel retrofit process.
Experience with hybrid systems, fuel cells and advanced automation/autonomy will be an advantage - but not a requirement.
You have strong process and stakeholder management skills as well as good communication skills.
Good communication in English written and verbal, with presentation and facilitation skills are required - Danish is not mandatory.
