In the SGRE Service Business Unit we are looking for a Direct Drive Generator Specialist to be part of our Generator Team in the Service Product Integrity &Technology Department.
How to contribute to our vision
You will have a key role in our Direct Drive platforms in Service Technical Systems. Direct Drive turbines are one of our most technically advanced products, with a widely installed fleet both in Onshore and Offshore.
As Direct Drive Generator Specialist, you will play a key role in those platforms since it will be your responsibility to ensure that the proper technical support for the large Direct Drive generators is provided. As design authority is gradually transferred from ON/OF Business Units, you will have complete technical responsibility on all aspects of Direct Drive generators, from cradle to grave.
The position entails a high level of practical use of your expertise, empowerment and responsibility. You will be involved from the site investigation, disassembly of failed components to the repair and testing in workshop. Therefore, your knowledge and expertise will be essential in ensuring that the team delivers technical investigations, root cause analysis, design updates and retrofits and support for Repair and Refurbishment activities.
You will work closely with the Generator Team Lead in the Power Systems Module to help ensure growth and development and represent SGRE as technical expert towards our customers.
What you need to make a difference
We need someone with a wide experience in supporting Direct Drive generators or similar technologies. Education within the electrical field, as electrical engineer, marine engineer, or electrical technician is required.
You need to be dynamic, autonomous, proactive and customer (internal or external) oriented. A practical mindset and relevant experience are needed to make a difference.
Collaboration with international teams and working in different company cultures is crucial in this position. Advanced English skills is also required (both written and spoken) for the purpose of reporting, engineering statements and meetings.
As part of a global team at least 40 travel days a year should be expected since you will be needed to visit workshops, factories, or sites.
