Description

Scoutbase is a digital tool that helps shipping companies become safer, more productive, and generally better workplaces. The entire maritime industry suffers from a real lack of up-to-date, honest and actionable data on what’s difficult for their employees — which could even pose a risk to safety at sea! We help them by collecting real-time workplace feedback directly from their seafarers - which helps them take the right action to improve wellbeing and reduce the risk of accidents at sea.

To be a good fit for this position you must have had at least 3 years of working experience in a DevOps capacity, preferably working as a DevOps Engineer in a constantly evolving environment.
You will also have had experience with SQL and scripting languages like Bash/Ruby/Python. Javascript knowledge would be a big plus.
Knowledge of setting up, configuring, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines is a must.
Knowing how to monitor deployments, keep the uptime high, and make sure how to implement the best industry practices in a safe and secure manner is what you should be capable of.

Tech stack:
Docker
Unix/Linux
CI/CD
Git
NGINX/Apache
AWS
SQL/PostgreSQL
Bash/Ruby/Python scripts
Javascript

Scoutbase

Scoutbase is a tool that helps shipping companies become safer, more productive and generally better workplaces. In a nutshell, we do this by helping companies understand what makes daily work and life on a ship difficult for their crews.Right now we are focused on the maritime industry and on making life at sea safer for the 1.6 million seafarers out there. But we are exploring opportunities for using our technology to tackle the same lack of data in other industries.
