At Semco Maritime, you will be joining an experienced and highly skilled team in our Renewables division, who has created one of the largest project portfolios within offshore substations and with activities in Europe, Asia and the USA.

The position
As a Design Engineer / 3D Designer, you will be involved in greenfield EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation) contracts for offshore substation projects, where results are created together and based on a high level of teamwork, professionalism and dedication.

Knowledge and understanding of mechanical/structural construction and a good understanding of 3D CAD programs are essential, as well as a proactive and independent mindset.

Your key responsibilities and tasks
  • Concept development
  • Detail design of steel structures, cable trays, piping, HVA/C ducts etc.
  • Preparation of 3D models and 2D drawings
  • Quality control
  • Participate in site inspections during fabrication
  • Ensure close cooperation with our design partners
  • Optimize and develop our tools/concept/process - Challenge status quo

The work can include 10-15 travel days per year.

Your profile
You have solid experience within design work and possess strong 3D competencies, preferably in MicroStation and AutoCAD. Your educational background could be either within structural-, mechanical- or marine engineering or graduate in production technology.
You are a dedicated team player with good communication skills and understand the importance of building long-term relations. You are fluent in English both verbally and in writing.
