We are looking for an innovative Dean with good human resource management skills for the Faculty of Logistics and Maritime Technology at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences! A non-fixed term executive employment contract will be concluded with the person chosen for the position starting from 1 August 2021 (or as agreed). Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) provides experts and developers for the region and promotes internationality and entrepreneurship in Satakunta. According to AVOP - Graduand feedback questionnaire average during 2010-2020, SAMK was ranked as a university of applied sciences with the highest quality of education in Finland. The Faculty of Logistics and Maritime Technology offers seven Bachelor's degree programmes and three Master's degree programmes. Six of the degree programmes are conducted in English. Maritime Logistics Research Centre is the latest addition to the faculty. The faculty is a strong player in implementing the strategy of SAMK, such as in educating international professionals. The person we are looking for leads the faculty independently, is accountable for business results, acts as a member of the Management Team and reports directly to the Managing Director. The future dean is also responsible for education, research and development activities, internationality and the fluency of education sales. The applicant should meet the following criteria: - Master's degree suitable for the position - knowledge of Finnish and English - comprehensive experience in logistics, maritime technology, industrial management, and international business - management experience - strong communication and supervisory skills - strategic thinking and innovative approach A doctoral degree is considered an advantage.
