How to contribute to our vision
For our Blade Features Team in Offshore Technology, we are looking for a skilled engineer who can take ownership of our Lightning Protection System (LPS) development activities. The Blade Features Team is responsible for exploring and maturing new functional technologies and maintaining roadmaps in alignment and synergy with the overall blade technology roadmap.
The team engage with several subsystems e.g., surface protection system, lightning protection system, sensors, and add-ons, both in terms of material selection and structural design. The Blade Features team have the overall technical responsibility of the features all the way through their lifetime, from early-stage development, through product integration, and to securing the integrity in the fleet.
As technical lead for the LPS system you will be taking the overall technical coordination in terms of maintaining our LPS technology roadmap, exploration, maturation and implementation of next generation LPS technologies, blade product design tailoring according to design rules, and operational engineering task in terms of non-conformity and sourcing.
As technical responsible you will have to maintain a holistic overview of the as-is technical situation and review and scope new task to ensure correct focus according to priorities. You will be working together with other specialists in a global setup that can support you in the execution of the tasks, so strong collaboration and communication skills are required.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
We are looking for a person who has a technical and analytical mindset and is eager to drive the development of our Lightning Protection System.
You should have a Master of science or PhD degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Maritime, Electrical Engineering or Wind Energy.
The technical domain is primarily within high current electrical engineering (lightning attachment and high current conduction), but since there is also interaction with conductive structural elements (internal flash overs), multidisciplinary electrical and structural knowledge is an advantage.
Engaging with stakeholders in different parts of the organization energizes you. You can work independently, have a structured approach to your work and can handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
You have excellent English skills and have great communication skills. Danish is not required but considered a plus.
