Key responsibilities
Reporting to the APMT Lead Enterprise Architect, you will fulfil the role of the Enterprise Operational Technology & Security Architect for APM Terminals brand within Maersk IT. You will be responsible for the definition of the operational technology architecture and the security measures, including the on-premise industrial environments within our terminals as well as the operational cloud journey of APMT.

Your will drive standardization / reduction of diversity in the technology landscape, assuring OT security compliancy and prepare for the terminals for asset automation, digitisation and our Industry 4.0 journey.

You will ensure a clear IT/OT segregation in our networks, infrastructures and systems while collaborating with other Maersk brands and corporate to achieve synergies in service management and technical capabilities.

The industrial environment of APMT is challenging, diverse, traditional and modern at the same time. With APM Terminals’ move in strategy from a portfolio of terminals to a franchise-like operating model, also the industrial IT environment needs harmonisation. Therefore, in this role, specific knowledge is required of industrial control systems, sensors, plc’s, data acquisition and secure decoupling/integration using industrial protocols. You understand the benefits of Industry 4.0, have applied ISA-95 in asset heavy environments, are eager to continuously learn emerging technologies and have an in-depth understanding how they can be applied in our terminals to bring value to operations and/or safety.

You will be part of the APMT Enterprise Architecture team, which focusses on strategy & business demand shaping and architecture assurance in delivery. You will work closely together with the Maersk Enterprise Architecture team (especially technology and security disciplines) to ensure that the APMT strategic direction is aligned with the corporate strategy.
Further, in this role you will:

•Create, own and maintain target state reference architectures to support the technical portion of the strategy, including ISA95, NIST and Industry 4.0 concepts.

•Collaborate with peers to support technical innovation by leveraging innovative new smart technologies and approaches to deliver value in terminal operations, safety and security.

•Enable seamless integration between Industrial edges, our plants (terminals) and cloud.

•Guide the Industrial Technology supply function in the delivery of pre-requisites for our strategic journey, including redundant reliable last-mile connectivity.

•Coach, mentor and collaborate with peers, solution architects and product owners and portfolio managers to achieve successful outcomes;

•Assist with designing the governance, assurance and standards activities associated with ensuring enterprise architecture compliance;

•Communicate and build support for the future technology direction with a wide range of stakeholders.

We are looking for
We would like to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following:

•Champion with challenges in an industrial environment, whereby machine-2-machine communication, industrial protocols (e.g. Profinet, OPC-UA, MQTT) and legacy technology need to be connected with corporate environments (Industry 4.0).

•Experience in cloud integration solutions but also aware of and comfortable working with traditional legacy environments.

•Collaboration with, and influence of vendors and their offerings to meet our need

•Experience of setting up and running governance forums for operational technology and security.

•Transformational mindset using an approach of persuasion and encouragement that embeds sustainable capabilities;

•Keen interest in technology industrial trends and ability to translate into business value.

•A natural curiosity for gaining further business acumen in Transport & Logistics.

In addition, you will have the following skills and experience:

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, System Analysis or a related field. Or equivalent work experience.

•Significant experience in multiple IT areas with 2-4 years of relevant business domain experience (logistics, manufacturing supply chain or maritime industry).

•Expert level experience in enterprise level architecture and design of IT components and architecture in a large asset-heavy, automated industrial site

•Contemporary data and systems security relating to industrial equipment and IoT and associated risks both outside the perimeter and with letting 3rd parties inside

•Use of architecture modelling, knowledge management, and collaboration tools

•Worked within globally distributed matrix organisation

•Experience of working within Agile and Waterfall environments

•Background and appropriately qualified in enterprise architecture practices (TOGAF, ArchiMate or similar certification).

•Commercial acumen gained through enterprise level business case development and major interactions with vendors
