As an Advanced Wind Resource Analyst you will be assigned to a portfolio of projects within BA Offshore Wind. Additionally, you may be required to assist on projects in the execution and operation phases, as well as on internal development on wind resource related topics.Your main tasks and responsibilities as a Wind Resource Analyst:• The overall responsibility of the position is to help grow the Vattenfall offshore pipeline.• Work in close cooperation with the Development and Technical Project Managers to ensure an optimal development of the projects at all stages, from a wind resource perspective.• Stay in continuous contact with internal stakeholders such as Data Analytics, Engineering, HSE and Valuation to optimise production and “Levelized Energy Cost” (LEC).• Create offshore wind energy yield assessments based on wind measurements, models, as well as using existing turbines as reference.• Provide guidance on reducing losses that lead to net annual energy production.• Development of wind measurement strategies on project and portfolio level.• Perform wind measurement data analysis including long-term correction.• Support the creation and optimisation of wind farm layouts.• Support internal post construction analyses, as well as power curve tests.• Assess project risks from a production point of view.• Negotiating with wind turbine suppliers on topics such as energy yield assessments, power curve verifications, load assessments and related warranties.• Support R&D projects within the field of wind resource assessment.• Share knowledge within the team.Your profile as a Wind Resource Analyst:• A university Master’s degree within a relevant scientific discipline combined with a minimum of 2 years work experience in the wind energy sector.• Experience in the development of wind farms from a wind resource perspective.• Knowledge and at least 2 years’ experience with a wind flow & wake modelling software such as WindPRO/WAsP/Openwind/Windfarmer:Analyst).• Familiarity with relevant IEC standards from the 61400 series.• Knowledge on comparisons between modelled and actual park production is advantageous.• Experience in setting up measurement campaigns and analysing wind measurement data from various devices.Your qualifications and personal skills as Wind Resource Analyst:• Highly committed person with a high degree of flexibility and self-motivation.• Team player with ability to clearly communicate complex topics to non- wind resource specialists.• Strong analytical skills and an innovative mind set.• Well organised and a structured work approach.• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to function well in an international team environment and interface with a broad range of co-workers and contractors spread over multiple locations.• Fluency in English is a requirement, Dutch is an advantage.Our offer:Good remuneration, a challenging and international work environment, and the possibility to work with some of the best in the field.
