Gothenburg Local Ship Management/Shipping Offshore Operations
Since 1833, Svitzer has provided safety and support at sea. As a global towage company and a member of the Maersk Group we employ around 4,000 employees globally and operate a fleet of 430 vessels. The position as Technical Superintendent for Svitzer Scandinavia will be based at the Svitzer Scandinavia head office in Sweden, Gothenburg, supporting a number of our vessels. We operate 25+ vessels and are in total around 200+ employees.

Key responsibilities
Ensuring the full technical readiness of vessels to meet the service commitments of the operating location;
Control of technical budgets for the fleet and supplementary project requirements, including monitoring and control of repair and maintenance budgets and recording of spare part, fuel and lube oil usage
The management, planning and coordination of maintenance, regular service periods, dry-dockings and vessel upgrades through the designated service contractors / vessel crew as appropriate, ensuring prompt return to the fleet.
The development and use of planned maintenance systems via group computerized maintenance management
We are looking for
Degree in marine engineering or equal nautical degree, preferable
engineering to a minimum of STCW II/1, unlimited, motor (minimum class II certification, preferential class I).
Collaborative team player who work well together with both onshore and crew colleagues
Marine operational experience including management as senior seagoing engineer or superintendent preferred
Familiarity with Maritime Rules, Regulations, Codes and Guidelines; ISM Code and ISPS requirement’s and class.
Experience with setting and maintaining financial budgets.
Verbal and written fluency in English and Danish/ Scandinavian.
Financial analysis skills and leadership abilities;
A strong aptitude for numbers and accuracy and be able to perform under stress and work within strict deadlines;
Professional approach to yard representatives, Class surveyors and Maritime administration personal.
The role requires extensive travel in Denmark and Sweden, due to the location of vessels to be supervised.
