Description

EIVA is a hardware and software engineering company which provides solutions to the international maritime industry. Our customers specialise in renewable energy, oil and gas exploration, seabed-to-surface construction and services, and hydrographic surveys, just to mention a few. Our software, NaviSuite , is among the most utilised and high-end in the industry, offering users a multi-purpose solution known for its versatility and efficiency.
We recently established a new development team focusing on making deep learning and machine vision features available to our customers, and we continue to see a growing interest in the work they do. Consequently, we’re on the lookout for additional crew members to join the team who ensure our customers can successfully map oceans, discover forgotten mines, set up wind turbines at sea, and much more – or that is, to have the software do the hard work through the code you make.
You’ll be working with…
Machine/deep learning
Computer vision
Augmented reality
Robotics
Software for surface and subsea positioning, manoeuvring and advanced 3D navigation
3D visualisation of dynamic and static data, including vessels, drones, structures, and water column, seabed or sediment data
Autonomous systems such as AUVs and ASVs
Point cloud generation, editing and visualisation – via very large data sets
Mesh networking
Please note that you must have experience with machine learning and deep vision through your education and/or previous positions. As for the rest of subjects mentioned above, if you have experience with some or all of these disciplines, it will be considered an advantage. Or if you just always wanted to work with them, as long as a strong interest in these serves as your anchor.
The ideal candidate...
Has a background as a software developer, holding a degree in computer science, software engineering or similar
Has experience – from studies or previous positions – with machine learning and deep vision and strives to create efficient, user-friendly and reliable solutions
Strong English skills, both written and verbal, are a must.
We operate in a niche industry, so don’t worry if you’re new to the maritime world, we’ll equip you with the necessary introduction before you’re thrown into the coding waters.
You will be an integrated part of our development team of software and survey engineers, working closely with electronics and mechanical engineers in our R&D department. This includes taking part in and impacting our day-to-day agile and scrum-inspired development roadmap.
The techniques you’ll be working with…
Microsoft .NET / Visual Studio
C++
Computer vision
SLAM or visual SLAM
3D, projective, and multiple view geometries
Robust model estimation
Mathematical optimization
Parallel data processing, via for example GPU
Automated test, UnitTest, data-/code-driven test
You'll be working out of EIVA's offices in Stilling, Denmark – just one minute away from the E45, 15 minutes away from Aarhus by car, and easy to get to by bus.
