Join us in this role where you’ll become part of the team responsible for our fundamental power market models used for managing the price risk of the Group’s diverse power portfolio in traded markets. Your areas of responsibility will cover market data analysis with initial focus on market coupling and power auction dynamic in the North West European power markets as well as improving our back-testing framework related to our fundamental power market models.
Welcome to Trade Support & Analysis

You’ll be part of the Trade Support & Analysis team where you, together with your colleagues, will work closely with our power traders and power market experts, and where your analytical support will directly influence the trading decisions taken by the trading desks. You’ll report to the Head of Trade Support & Analysis, and your principal stakeholders will be analysts and traders in Market Trading, but you’ll also engage with market experts and analysts across the Group.
You’ll play an important role in:

assessing flow congestions in North West European power markets and price spreads between markets
tracking spot and auction market dynamics and market players behaviour
assessing how subsidy schemes and regulatory support mechanisms impact power prices
refining our back-testing framework of our fundamental power models and input data
investigating, testing, and applying AI/ML technologies in our data analysis.
To succeed in the role, you:

have a strong analytical mindset and love working with data
have relevant work experience as an analyst supporting business decisions
enjoy identifying patterns in unstructured data and spending time on explorative analysis
have strong programming skills in Python or similar and are a skilled user of MS Excel
are perseverant and curios, and eager to drive innovative business solutions forward.
