(Senior) Product Improvement Engineer

We are looking for (Senior) Product Improvement Engineers to Technical Quality Management, Small & Medium Bore engines.
Depending on the candidates experience the title will be precised.
We offer you interesting and challenging position in a team of Product Improvement Engineers.
You will be part of a small group, with good team spirit, of highly skilled and motivated people of professionals managing challenging issues with engines.
Furthermore, the work is versatile and you may use several skills to manage issues (e.g leadership and technical skills) with different kind of people and organisations.
Location Finland, Vaasa.
Responsibilities
Manage the assigned product improvement issues as projects (Issue Manager).
Develop plans and manage the entire execution of the product improvement issues with the help of cross-divisional teams.
Maintain data in Salesforce and Polarion which are the main tools of PIP process.
Requirements
BSc or MSc in Mechanical or similar
3-10 years of experience with diesel and/or gas engines or some other technical field
Problems solving and solution finding skills
Risk management skills
Good positive drive and ability to work both independently and in teams
Good communication and co-operation skills
Good command of English, both oral and written
Project Manager experience seen as a benefit
Knowledge of Wärtsilä business seen as benefit
Finnish language skills seen as benefit
