We have experienced a strong and continuous growth in contracts and are looking for a Senior Drone Software Engineer to strengthen our team and meet our customers needs.

We develop drones from scratch. We develop our own core technologies such as autopilot, control PCBs, drone frames, control systems, ground station etc. and compile these technologies into drone products for the industry. We are software developers, systems engineers, drone pilots, cybernetic engineers, product designers, mechanical engineers, project leaders. Our common goal is to create a dependable product, in which the industry can trust. Working with us, you will get the chance to challenge your ability to build complex robust software/hardware systems using best practices from both the embedded and applications development world.

Joining us you will work with C++ development both for embedded systems running on our drones as well as more conventional Linux-based systems. We develop full-stack, everything from low level drivers and RTOS on a microcontroller up to complex 3D simulators of our complete systems.

We have an emphasis on developer efficiency. We use the newest language standards, focus on letting the compiler do the work, and have developed automatic full-stack testing techniques to make our day to day work smooth and efficient.

The position will involve work from home office during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Desktop C++ development of applications with focus on systems programming. Networking, IO, threading, shared resources, scheduling, library design, etc. Embedded C++ development for embedded Linux computers. Embedded C++ development on microcontrollers running an RTOS.
You know how to use modern C++ (11,14,17,20) (or Rust) to build systems software. You do your development on Linux desktop using open source tools. You know how to use debuggers to quickly localize a bug. You know how to profile a program for performance problems. You speak Norwegian or English well, and write all your code in English.

It is a plus if:

You have previous experience working on robotics systems. Have experience writing safety critical systems; systems where bugs have consequences outside the computer.
