We are looking for a Cost Controller to join our clients Drilling Operational Excellence Department, to support upcoming drilling campaigns.
Description
The senior Cost Controller will perform the cost control life cycle process for several exploration wells.
Responsible for preparation of cost estimates, AFEs and follow up of cost reporting for the ongoing wells projects
Prepare end of well cost analysis and well reconciliations
Support Contract administration for relevant contractors
Support financial audits of licences
Contribute to improve processes and guidelines/procedures for well operations
Perform analysis and forecasts according to requirements
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, engineering or other relevant education
Minimum 5 years experience in drilling and wells operation
Basic understanding of planning & execution of offshore drilling, completion, testing and P&A operations
Good knowledge of regulations and relevant standards
Relevant knowledge and understanding of project management
Relevant experience in Joint Venture Accounting
Extensive experience of financial/business software (SAP)
A sound understanding of drilling service contracts typical for exploration activities
Relevant experience with tender evaluation and contract management
Personal qualities
Self-motivated
Ability to work systematic, both independently and with co-workers, to meet challenging objectives
Extensive drilling/wells knowledge, business awareness and commercial skills
Very good communicating skills across disciplines
Fluent in English (oral and written)
Preferrably fluent in Norwegian (oral and written) as an additional language
