This is an exciting opportunity to gain professional experience on how to improve fuel efficiency with systems and analytics support in an international shipping company.
Your primary role will be to develop and manage the systems and analytics portfolio supporting our fuel efficiency initiatives working with stakeholders across the organization – at shore and at sea.
You will enjoy a role with a big impact on TORM’s bottom line and you will get insight into TORM ‘s entire value chain in the product tanker business. The systems and analytics portfolio forms the basis for TORM’s fuel efficiency initiatives, which have improved our bottom line with millions of US dollars, and saving the climate for a substantial amount of CO2. We are front runners on this agenda and ahead of most of our peers, and we strive to become the Reference Company in the product tanker business.

What we offer
As Performance Systems Assistant, you will be part of the Systems team within the Technical Division, which primarily supports TORM’s Operational Performance & Energy Efficiency team by developing business-critical systems and analytics with focus on agility.
The Systems team is a small team located both in Copenhagen and in Mumbai. The Mumbai team is primarily application developers, whereas the Copenhagen-based team is managing and supporting the system portfolio.
The work tasks include:
Taking active part and responsibility in further development of our on board noon data capturing system
Taking active part in the development of our new automatic data logging system
Liaising with our service provider for hull performance analytics
Developing analytics and reports for legislative and ESG reporting
Supporting the Voyage Monitoring team in the Operations department
Developing new methods, analytics, and reports to the entire organization with valuable information on fuel efficiency
Assistance with different types of ad-hoc work – mostly data analytics
Ensuring that issues are being addressed timely
To succeed in the job
We imagine that you either are newly graduated or hold a few year´s of experience from a similar role, that you are a driven and have a diligent personality eager to put your mark on how we do things, and handle your responsibilities in a collaborative manner by valuing true team spirit.
We expect that you can demonstrate:
Knowledge about application development process
Good analytical skills
Data modelling competence
A relevant bachelor or master’s degree with good results, specializing in e.g. systems engineering, business analytics, operations analysis, and performance design or the like
You have a constant drive to learn and develop yourself, and you understand that great achievements are the results of dedicated individuals working together as a team
You are fluent in both verbal and written English
