Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro Renewable activities like Solar and Batteries. Today we develop, construct and operate wind generation and solar and batteries installations in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK.
Vattenfall is now looking for the right person to fill the position as Offshore Installation Manager of our OAP (Offshore Accommodation Platform) located in the Sylt area 90 km off the coast of Esbjerg, Denmark. The Offshore Installation Manager of OAP is responsible for the offshore accommodation platform and all its employees and activities.
The position is a key role within the O&M Delivery department, which is responsible for all O&M activities on our offshore wind farms in the countries we operate and focuses on operating our wind farms safe, efficient and professional.
O&M Delivery in Vattenfall Wind Offshore will grow significantly in the coming years and we have decided to build a new organizational structure to face the business expansion that we see coming in Offshore Wind. The current open leadership positions are set up in a new structure to better meet the requirements of our future growth.

We are offering 15 leadership positions on three managerial levels for application. Some parts of the organization remain the same from the previous organizational structure and will adjust to the growth challenges in an unchanged setup.

This is an opportunity to be part of and influence the direction in Vattenfall Offshore O&M Delivery in one of the new leadership positions.
You will be reporting to the Head of Operations, Nordic/GE and you will become part of the Management Team for Operations, Nordic/GE.
Key responsibilities and mandate:

You will be leading a team with a total of platform technicians, platform service leaders, offshore warehouse keepers, catering and cleaning crew and paramedics in offshore rotation shifts.
The Offshore Installation Manager of the OAP team is responsible for the health, safety and environment performance of all activities and personnel on the OAP. The manager must ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to when activities are being prepared and executed. This includes proper documentation and risk assessments according to established Control the Work procedures, before work is released for execution.
The manager is further responsible to ensure thorough reporting and/or investigation of any incident according to the established health, safety and environment plan and take immediate action when this is required.
The manager must ensure the daily coordination of logistic assets in/out of the windfarm in close collaboration with Service Leads, Contractors and Marine Coordination. The manager is leading of the Emergency Response Team on the OAP and will be emergency crisis manager in case of incidents on our German offshore windfarms.
You will be responsible for:
– the efficient and safe execution of maintenance activities on the OAP and assigned systems.
– the effective and safe operation of the Offshore Warehouse on the OAP to ensure inventory management and supply reliability.

– the supervision and efficient operation of catering and paramedic service onboard.
– The safe operations and status of helideck activities in accordance with legislation and established procedures.

What we are looking for
You have a bachelor or master’s degree in a relevant field (desirable) with 2-4 years managerial experience, preferably including experience in a platform operations and maintenance environment. You are a highly motivated and communicative leader who is able to focus on both safety, people and business. You are proven skilled in dealing with strategic, highly complex issues, problems and challenges. Health and safety is of your highest priority. Your English skills are strong, both verbally and written.
You can work independently across all levels of the organization in a cooperative manner, where you demonstrate good communication skills, drive an open and honest mind-set.
You take responsibility and provide transparency. When needed, you are able to make quick decisions in difficult circumstances and are capable of handling many tasks at the same time. You are flexible and can adjust to changing circumstances. You value differences in background and culture.
Location
The OAP is located in the Sylt area 90 km off the coast of Esbjerg, Denmark You will be working in an offshore shift rotation and share the role with 2 peers.
