Mechanical Engineer for Offshore Substations

You will join our Mechanical team located in our Renewables business area, where we have constructed one of the largest project portfolios within offshore substations in Northern Europe. Our Offshore Wind markets include Europe, Taiwan and the USA, which means that you can expect to be involved in projects worldwide.

You may choose between working from our head office in Esbjerg or from our Ballerup office in the greater Copenhagen area, whatever is the most convenient location for you

Key responsibilities and tasks
As a member of our Mechanical team, you will have a versatile job in an international environment where you participate in large multidisciplinary projects through all project phases – tender, engineering, procurement construction and commissioning.

Our working area is primary Diesel Generator System, Diesel Fuel system, Water and cleaning system and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air conditioning).
Experience with Diesel Generator systems will be favorable.

Tasks
Responsible for the design, engineering and procurement of mechanical systems, primarily diesel generator system
Through interactions with customers and internal team, you can create proposals, technical solutions and project documentation that meet the expectations on multidiscipline projects.
Coordination and troubleshooting with the customer, suppliers and project disciplines
Handling suppliers, negotiations and contracts in cooperation with the project management and procurement department.
Facilitate and participate in client workshops and meetings to ensure that scope and technical solution is according to contract
Ensure execution and sign-off of factory (FAT) and site (SAT) tests are carried out with customers, aligned and according to the overall project plan
Support to the site during construction and commissioning
Participation in concept development and optimization of technical solutions

Your profile
You have a relevant background as an engineer, marine engineer or similar with solid practical experience. You have analytical skills with the ability to collect and analyse information, problem-solve, and make decisions. Strong technical curiosity and willingness to learn new system areas. Flair for working with engineering software. Offshore experience or/and experience with diesel generator system is preferred.
You believe that success is only achieved through dedicated teamwork. We expect you to have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and possibly Danish and you can work in a multi-cultural environment.
