The Offshore Generator Department is at the forefront of the latest Direct Drive Generator technology, where we utilize our own developed outer rotor, permanent magnet generator. The main design team is based in Brande and is staffed with highly skilled engineers working with state-of-the-art design tools. Furthermore, we have a design team based in Bangalore, India.
How to contribute to our vision
You will accomplish mechanical design of generator components and subsystems, e.g. casted components, large steel fabrication, electrical/magnetic components, etc. You will create and review technical documentation and additionally specify and perform tests on the generator and/or its components. You will plan and participate in test assemblies and collaborate with key suppliers and key stakeholders from the generator department and other departments.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are looking for a person who holds a BSc or MSc in mechanical engineering or similar with +5 years of experience.
You are experienced with testing of mechanical components and have hands-on experience with mechanical assemblies. You possess good knowledge of manufacturing processes, i.e. casting, welding and machining.
Additionally, you are experienced with the following:
CAD design (preferably NX)
Design and manufacturing of composites
Electrical component design (not a prerequisite) & thermal design
You are inquisitive, outgoing and process-oriented and able to work independently, as well as in teams and take the ownership/responsibility for your work. You are structured and innovative and your approach to task solving is both technically sound and commercially viable. You can interface at all levels in a dynamic environment and possess strong communication and English skills both orally and in writing.
